SINGAPORE—JULY 18, 2025— Prime Video has announced the premiere date for Confidence Queen, an upcoming Korean comedic caper series starring Park Min-young, Park Hee-soon, and Joo Jong-hyuk. The series follows a trio of clever swindlers who team up to take down corrupt villains through elaborate schemes. Park Min-young plays Yun Yi-rang, a brilliant woman who transforms herself as a master con artist. She teams up with James and Gu-ho, to expose criminals and take their ill-gotten gains. Blending fast-paced heist action with comedy, Confidence Queen promises a thrilling ride for global audiences. Star of the hit series Marry My Husband, Park Min-young returns with a captivating transformation as the fascinating Yun Yi-rang. Yi-rang is an heiress who was forced to live in the shadows due to a certain incident in her childhood. Highly intelligent with keen intuition and precise focus, Yi-rang is the perfect con artist mastermind. She creates a team with James and Gu-ho to strip villains of their illicitly gained money and builds her own wealth.
Joo Jong-hyuk, who made an impression through his role in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, portrays Myung Gu-ho. Gu-ho brings heart and warmth to the team through his friendly and optimistic nature. Veteran actor Park Hee-soon, who recently acted in Squid Game Season 3, portrays James, a quiet man who is happy to embark on new adventures with Yi-rang and Gu-ho.
A remake on the hugely popular Japanese IP, Confidence Queen is helmed by director Nam Ki-hoon (Destined with You, Kiss Sixth Sense) and penned by Hong Seung-hyun (Criminal Minds, Cheo-Yong).
