October 29, 2025 — Prime Video marked the arrival of NBA on Prime Video in the Philippines with an exclusive “From Streets to Stream” Watch Party, celebrating the partnership between the NBA and Prime and the start of live NBA game coverage on the platform.
Held on October 25 at Monarch Manila, the event gathered members of the media, key opinion leaders (KOLs), celebrity basketball fans, and local personalities for an exclusive viewing experience of the NBA season’s opening doubleheader. Fans watched as the Boston Celtics faced the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Los Angeles Lakers, streamed live on Prime Video. Coverage began at 7:00 a.m. Philippine time with the NBA on Prime pregame show, broadcast live from the newly unveiled NBA on Prime Studio at Amazon MGM Studios in Culver City, California.
The watch party reflected the campaign’s theme, “From Streets to Stream,” which celebrates basketball’s unifying power — from community courts to the global stage of streaming. Guests enjoyed local street-style food, basketball-themed activities, and a dynamic setup that showcased how Prime Video connects Filipino fans to the sport they love.
Viewers in the Philippines can now enjoy the action with Prime Video’s innovative watch features that bring fans closer to the game, including:
- Rapid Recap – An AI-powered highlights reel that brings fans who join late up to speed in two minutes or less, before seamlessly transitioning back into live action.
