PLDT Inc. and wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), earned numerous prestigious awards in 2024, recognizing their leadership in various fields such as brand communications, corporate social responsibility (CSR), customer experience, and sustainability.
The PLDT Group bagged back-to-back Company of the Year citations, highlighting its commitment to technology-driven innovation and impactful community programs.
The Group also received awards for excellence in CSR strategy and diversity, equity, and inclusion at the HR Excellence Awards and the AI Pioneer of the Year citation at the LinkedIn Talent Awards.
PLDT also won international recognition, ranking second globally in the Global Child Forum (GCF) Benchmark Report for its practices that integrate children’s rights into its operations.
At the recently concluded World Communication Awards (WCA) held in London, the PLDT Group was the only Philippine telco recognized, bagging the Beyond Connectivity Award for Building Filipino #MSMEmpowered and #FarmSmart Communities through Technology. The Group also secured a spot in the inaugural Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking.
PLDT and Smart also earned multiple gold, silver and bronze Stevies® across various categories at the Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards and the International Business Awards.
Gold-winning programs included PLDT Home’s Madiskarte Moms, PLDT Enterprise’s PH Digicon and Visionaries campaign, PLDT and Smart’s eBiznovation and #FarmSmart, and TNT’s SIM Registration campaign and Petmaloop Challenge. The TNT Petmaloop Challange also bagged a gold at the first-ever TikTok Ad Awards PH, and another gold for social media marketing at the recently concluded SMARTIES Philippines.
Smart’s “FIBA World Cup 2023: Smart Ball of Asia” bagged the lone gold citation for Single Medium – Out of Home (OOH) Marketing Communications Channels category at the 2024 Panata Brand Effectiveness Awards.
As an official global partner of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, Smart hosted the historic basketball tournament and turned the Mall of Asia (MOA) Ball into a massive basketball with a hoop OOH to celebrate the tournament.
