Discovery Boracay (DB) has been named “Philippines’ Leading Beach Resort 2024” at the 31st Annual World Travel Awards. This marks the second consecutive year DB has won this accolade after bagging the same category at the same awarding last year. 

DB is also the only property across Boracay Island to have received a recognition from the prestigious award-giving body, reflecting the resort’s commitment to outstanding guest experiences in a competitive market.

Erwin Lopez, Hotel Manager of Discovery Boracay, expressed gratitude for the award, noting it highlights the team’s dedication to exceptional service and inspires continued excellence in luxury hospitality.

In addition to DB’s back-to-back win, its homeland, Boracay Island, also won the “Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination 2024” category, besting Koh Lanta, Thailand; Penang, Malaysia; Phu Quoc, Vietnam; and Phuket, Thailand. 

The World Travel Awards are widely recognized as a benchmark for excellence in the global travel and tourism industry. This year’s awarding was held in the Philippines last September 3, 2024.
