Asia Leaders Awards Honouree and UPLB Alumnus, Bounty Agro Ventures President Ronald goes full-blast with vaccination drive BAVI Got My Vacc!
“The vaccine is our most powerful weapon against the virus. Let’s all get vaccinated!”
Ronald Mascariñas, the president and general manager of Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc (BAVI), gave the commencement speech for the graduation exercises of his alma mater, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) as he leads his company to go full blast in their COVID-19 vaccination drive.
As his inspirational speech reiterated, “Honor should precede excellence . . . commit to something bigger than yourself.”
Thus, BAVI has made rounds of General Santos City, Davao City, Quezon City, Pasig City, and San Jose, Bulacan, in partnership with the Department of Health and GoNegosyo to help speed up the Philippines’ reaching herd immunity through vaccination drives.
Receiving Strings of Awards
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from UPLB, which recognized him as a Distinguished Alumnus in the field of Entrepreneurship in 2004 and 2019, and his master’s degree in Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
Mascariñas has earned a string of accolades throughout the years as executive and businessman of the first order.
He was named Outstanding Professional by the Superbrands Marketing Internatonal in 2014, Communication and Leadership Award from Toastmasters International in 2015, Outstanding Leader in Asia by the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability or ACES Awards in Singapore in 2018, and for 3 years as honouree under Asia Leaders Awards.
Promoting the Poultry Industry
A staunch advocate of love of country and one of the country’s most generous sports patrons, he is best known as a poultry authority and promoter.
Mascariñas’ expertise in this area, which propelled BAVI forward, was honed by serving PureFoods Corporation for 19 years, rising to the rank of senior vice president, and capping his career by heading the company’s Poultry, Food Service, and Smokey’s fast food chain operations.
He was recognized for his outstanding leadership as president of the Philippine Association of Broiler Integrator and was honored by the Asia Leaders Awards thrice already with the following citations; Mentor of the Year in 2019 and as Man of the Year in the Poultry Industry in 2019 and 2020.
