ONE: Fists of Fury is a highly-anticipated event, not just for fans, but for Team Lakay star Lito Adiwang as well. The stacked card features Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Giorgio Petrosyan, Superlek Kiatmoo9, and Ilias Ennahachi, among others.

Adiwang anticipates a high level of striking in the main event between Superlek and Ennahachi which he says will make for a great show. Fans can catch the event on February 26, 2021.

ONE Championship returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium with ONE: FISTS OF FURY, live this Friday night, 26 February. It’s an action-packed card featuring some of the best strikers in the world, and the professional debut of a teenage martial arts prodigy ready to partake in the family trade.

One man who will be watching the event closely is Team Lakay phenom Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang. Having started his martial arts journey with boxing and wushu, Adiwang is an avid fan of the striking martial arts and has extensive knowledge on ONE Super Series fighters.

As a spectator, Adiwang can’t wait to witness what the evening holds.

“I am very excited to watch this card and witness the biggest names in kickboxing show their skills and talents. I mean, we have Rodtang, Giorgio Petrosyan, and Superlek all in one card. It’s definitely a must-watch event for me,” said Adiwang.

“I’m particularly excited for the main event, because the champion Ilias Ennahachi and Thai superstar Superlek are surely going to give fans a good show. It will be a high level display of striking. I will have to go with Ennahachi in this one, because I can see him controlling the fight and not letting Superlek dictate the pace. I think he can finish Superlek as well with his punches.”

The main event of ONE: FISTS OF FURY features reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi who defends his World Title against #2-ranked Superlek “The Kicking Machine” Kiatmoo9.

In the co-main event, the legendary Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan returns to action in a rematch against Kickboxing World Champion Davit Kiria. Also seeing action is reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon, who steps into a new arena when he faces “Samingpri” Tagir Khalilov in his ONE kickboxing debut.

Adiwang is excited to witness two legends of the ring showcase their skills.

“As for Giorgio Petrosyan, well, he’s a living legend in the kickboxing world. He’s earned the people’s respect by proving himself, fighting and beating the best of the best. For me, what’s so good about him is his composure, because no matter what style or game plan you prepare for him, you can’t take his composure away. He’s just out there imposing his will, and that for me is just special. It’s hard to beat a well-focused and composed fighter. I see him applying this in his upcoming fight again and getting the win,” said Adiwang.

“Rodtang jumping to kickboxing is no surprise to me, because we all saw how he absolutely decimated his opponents in Muay Thai until there was no one left. Knowing his fighter mentality, he wants to further cement his legacy in the striking world. He doesn’t just want to be the Muay Thai champion, he wants that kickboxing belt as well. I believe he will succeed, but he will definitely go through some tough challenges in ONE Super Series. It all depends on how he can quickly adapt to and adjust to the rules of kickboxing. Perhaps we can also see a rematch between Rodtang and Tenshin Nasukawa in the future too.”

Elsewhere on ONE: FISTS OF FURY, is the highly anticipated ONE debut of Victoria “The Prodigy” Lee, who takes on Sunisa “Thunderstorm” Srisen in an atomweight mixed martial arts contest. Victoria is the younger sister of reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, and ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian Lee.

“The Prodigy” raised headlines when she announced she was joining ONE Championship in late 2020, at the tender young age of 16.

“For me, Victoria Lee is a next generation superstar. She has some incredible people behind her, with her parents supporting her, and her older siblings already proven world champions. I have no doubt that she will also become a world champion one day, and maybe even surpass Christian and Angela,” said Adiwang.

“In my opinion, 16 is an okay age for cage fighting. It’s just the right time to get experience as long as you prepare well, and put in double the effort to work on al areas. Naturally, your body will reach athletic maturity even if you are just a teenager. We’ve seen this before in elite athletes who started young, like Manny Pacquiao, for example, or Lebron James. It’s not about the age. It’s about the skill and the physical capacity. As they say, age is nothing but a number.”
